Shipping
Items are generally shipped using Canada Post, although alternative shipping methods can be used at the buyers request. All large items are shipped fully insured but not necessarily traceable. Items such as decal sheets, photo etch sets, and small Transformers/Star Wars Parts are usually sent Lettermail in order to keep costs down but are not insurable. If insurance is required then those items would need to be shipped using an insured method.
No orders will ship out until the payment arrives.
Within Canada
Most orders within Canada are shipped using Expedited Parcel, which takes up to 7 business days and comes fully insured and trackable. Something to remember when ordering, anything that needs to be boxed up for shipping within Canada will have a minimum charge of $10.00, I know it sucks but that’s the way Canada Post works. Please note that the maximum shipping I charge within Canada is $15.00 (for orders shipped in one box, through Canada Post) no matter how much you buy. So if you are ordering it pays to order more than one item at a time. If you order has to be packaged in separate boxes or the box is too large for Canada Post to accept then the maximum shipping fee does not apply.
Local Pickups are available for customers in Edmonton, Alberta and Fort McMurray, Alberta, however this will need to be arranged.
To The USA
Orders to the USA are typically sent using small package airmail and usually take 1-2 weeks to arrive and is insured up to $100 CDN, but is not trackable. Orders over $100 CDN or packages over 1 kg (2 lbs) will be sent out as an Expeditied Parcel and will usually take around 10 business days and is fully insured and trackable.
To All Other Countries
Orders for International Customers are typically sent using small package airmail and usually take 2-4 weeks to arrive and is insured up to $100 CDN but not trackable. This method can be pricey for larger items. To help keep costs down, customers located in Europe can choose to have their packages sent surface small package which can take 4-8 weeks to arrive and is insured up to $100 CDN but is not trackable. Orders over $100 CDN or packages over 2 kg (4 lbs) will be sent out as a Parcel (either surface or air where available) and will usually take around 2-4 weeks and is fully insured and trackable.
Customs Forms
We are required to fill out customs forms on orders leaving Canada. These forms will be marked with the order subtotal amount (price of items without the shipping fees). We know that taxes on packages can be expensive, but we WILL NOT misrepresent package contents for anybody anywhere.
Lost Payments or Packages
It is extremely unfortunate when this happens. It is VERY rare, but it can occur. JTR Hobby assumes absolutely no responsiblity for losses. If we do not receive a payment or if an uninsured package shipped to us, or by us, does not arrive at the proper destination, it is completely at the customer's expense. We highly recommend that insurance be used for any purchase/payment that you cannot afford to lose.
If you package is lost or damaged suring shipping we will be happy assist you with an insurance claim but we will not issue any refunds until we recieve a refund from the shipping company (i.e. Canada Post).
Return Policy
All items are described to the best of our ability and as such all used or "open box" items are sold as is and as such JTR Hobby does NOT accept returns. If you need pictures of items or have questions about an item we will be happy to discuss them with you. Orders may be cancelled at any time before payment has been received, but once they ship there is no returns on these items.
For new items if you are unhapy with your purchase for any reason other than damage durring shipping you may return you item for a refund of the purchase price before shipping. Shipping costs are non-refundable. Return postage for the item is the responsibility of the customer and no compansation for return postage will be given.
